After years of going through plastic spatulas that melted, bent, or just felt wrong — we made our own.

This spatula is hand-carved in our Burlington, Ontario workshop from carefully selected hardwood. Every curve is deliberate: we studied how pots are shaped, how wrists move, and where a spatula actually makes contact with a pan. The result is a tool that feels right from the first use and gets better with every one after that.

It's been tested for years in our own kitchen. It's the first one we reach for, every time.

Available in four woods:

  • Walnut — rich, dark chocolate-brown grain. The most visually striking.
  • Maple — light and very dense. Exceptionally durable.
  • Cherry — warm pale pink that deepens to reddish-brown over time with use.
  • European Beech — tight, fine grain. Classic and understated.

What makes it special:

  • Hand-carved in Burlington, Ontario — one at a time
  • Approximately 11 inches in length
  • Natural blade curve ideal for frying, stirring, and folding
  • 100% food-safe mineral oil finish — no varnish, no chemicals
  • Gentle on non-stick, cast iron, carbon steel, and all cookware
  • Suitable for both left and right-handed cooks
  • Develops a beautiful patina with use
  • Backed by our lifetime guarantee

Each spatula has its own unique grain and figure — no two are identical.

Not dishwasher safe. Hand wash and dry promptly. Oil occasionally with food-grade mineral oil or our Board Butter to keep it in top condition. Full care instructions →

Frequently asked questions:

Will this work on my non-stick pan? Yes. The smooth hardwood surface is gentle on all cookware including non-stick coatings, cast iron, and carbon steel — unlike metal spatulas which can scratch and damage surfaces over time.

How do I care for it? Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately. Oil with food-grade mineral oil or Board Butter once a month, or whenever it starts to look dry. Full care guide here.

Does it come with a guarantee? Yes — lifetime. If it fails due to a defect in material or workmanship, we'll replace it. No questions asked.

Can I choose the specific piece of wood? Each spatula is unique due to the natural variation in wood grain. If you have a specific preference, get in touch before ordering and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
